AND THE WINNER IS….
Liz by Design Photography, LLC
We’d like to thank everyone for sending in dozens and dozens of photos for our April cover contest! We hope that you love the winning photo as much as we do.
We love the “energy” and candid, genuine, happiness that this photo brings to our front page. It isn’t easy to capture, but Liz made it look so effortless and we appreciate her talents . Congratulations for a job well done!
Liz has a wide range of style that she utilizes in her portrait sessions to chronicle life’s beautiful stages. Below she shares a glimpse of why she and the camera make such beautiful music together.
“It all began with my appreciation for the art of photography. Over time I fell in love, bought a camera and practiced on friends and family, taking countless shots. I researched the equipment I would need, took classes, and learned the intricacies of session photography. My dream was in reach as I learned to edit images and create unique environments by utilizing client natural emotion. I turned my passion into a profession and Liz by Design Photography, LLC was born. Since that moment, I have shot and edited tens of thousands of images and have over 3000 professional sessions under my belt. I am very proud of my work and eternally grateful for my clients.”
Liz by Design Photography, LLC is pleased to extend the offer of 5 free images ($125 value) to our readers. Simply mention Our Town Monthly when booking your session.
The Barnhill Family
What can we say? The moment that we took a peek at the photos that Liz had captured of the Barnhill’s we fell in love! California transplants who found their way to our corner of the world kept on making their way to the top of our picks.
Victoria and Austin Barnhill first visited the Atlanta area in 2014 while on vacation and knew this was the place where they wanted to raise their family. Victoria recalled, “It took 3 years to make the move, but we landed in Acworth in the summer of 2017. Although we were both born and raised in California, we have loved every single bit about southern living- the friendships, Chick-Fil-A, sweet tea, Y’all and even the humidity!”
Charlotte is five years old and is a ballerina at Bravo Dance Center in Brookstone. She is incredibly artistic and creates fantastic mosaics and watercolors. Elijah is 4 years old and is an avid Braves fan. He wants to be a worship leader and a fireman when he grows up. He has a huge heart and is affectionate and compassionate.
Maverick is two and is spunky and rambunctious. Victoria told us, “He is our little daredevil, keeping us on our toes and he makes us laugh all day long.”
A big thank you to all who participated in our April cover contest. We were disappointed that we could only pick one winner and it was truly a pleasure and a privilege viewing such great work. As always, the people who live and work in Cobb County brought their best skills to the party and we consider them all winners. Thank you!
Happy Easter to all!
