Meet Paul Wierling!
Parker Wierling has grown up in the Smyrna/Vinings area where he currently attends The Lovett School as a high school senior. Since the young age of 8 he has been performing for audiences and fostering a huge dream – making it on the Big Screen.
While many aspire to act, Parker has set himself apart by diligently going after his goal one audition at a time. With many rejections along the way, typical in the entertainment industry, he has continued to hone his craft and persevere. 2015 looks to be his year as his name and his talent become more familiar to casting directors around the nation.
Parker caught the acting bug as a fifth grader when he landed the role of Grandpa Woods in the play No Strings Attached at The Lovett School. From there he performed in numerous theatre productions at The Mable House Arts Center, but soon found his passion for on-camera projects. He began weekly training at The Company Acting Studio, gained representation with The Jana VanDyke Agency in Atlanta and Gregg Baker Management in New York and Los Angeles and made his television debut as Noah on the highest rated cable TV show in history – The Walking Dead. In addition, his front-page Wall Street Journal interview was recently included in their coverage of The Walking Dead phenomenon. Not bad for a high school senior.
But Parker’s credentials don’t stop there. Last year he jumped right into the Los Angeles acting scene by moving to LA for three months to participate in his first ever pilot season, all while continuing his education. Gaining invaluable skills and feedback from such an experience has helped him land roles in Swamp Murders, Sleepy Hollow and his first big feature film that will premiere January 2016!
In an industry that’s nearly impossible to break into, Parker doubled his number of auditions from 2013 to 2014. And in 2015 so far, he’s on pace to double it again, sure to make 2015 his best year yet. When not auditioning, he continues to find creative outlets through which to share his talent, including playing bass guitar and drums with his local band The Foes, who recently wrote, recorded and produced their first EP.
With his hard work and the support of his community, family and friends, Parker is well on his way to fulfilling his dreams. To follow his journey, Like his actor page on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Parker Wierling.
