“The heart of a father is the masterpiece of nature.” Antoine-Francois Prevost
This month we honor and celebrate all fathers on June 16th, and we are especially pleased to feature Kenny Spann and his daughters, Heather, Katie, and Kristen. Kenny was born and raised in Marietta and attended Marietta High School. He was a star on the football team where he played alongside of the late James Friday Richards. He also met the love of his life, Janie Orr, at MHS. Kenny and Janie were married for over 20 years until Janie sadly lost her life to terminal cancer in 2017. The girls and their father remember her with love and devotion and are grateful for the memories of growing up in a family surrounded by love.
Heather, the oldest daughter, is a make-up artist at CNN. She has 2 boys Max (13) and Alex (7). Katie is the middle daughter and she and her husband Dr. Rob DiMartino operate Team Chiropractic. They have a daughter ,Hannah (20) and a son, Joey (11). Kristen, the youngest, is an aspiring Life Coach and is often seen around the Marietta Square or Kennesaw Mountain talking with people and spreading positivity in the world. Kristen has one daughter, Baylee (16). Kenny retired from Lockheed when Janie became ill and finds strength and solace from his family and friends. He’s also found that hiking Kennesaw Mountain is a great place to connect with God and help with the process of healing.
